Smart Family of Cooling Products features our SmartFreeze Evaporative Cooled Chiller package. This type of chiller is becoming predominantly known as the most energy efficient means of cooling in both the commercial and industrial markets. Evaporative cooled (condensed) chillers are most often used in building air conditioning applications but can also be used in process applications as well. Although these units typically carry a higher upfront cost, they also have relatively fast payback thanks to the energy savings they offer. The IECC evaporative condensed chiller is like a building itself. It features a full walk-in service vestibule where all of the major pieces of equipment are housed. Inside this vestibule, or sometimes called the dog house, are the compressors, evaporator(s), electrical control panel. You can also find a water tank, process pump(s), chemical treatment system, or even a 1 ton heat pump if required. The base is constructed of structural I-beam steel with non-skid base plate lining the floor of the vestibule. The walls are filled with 4″ sound dampening insulation and have plating on both interior and exterior. All wall panels are removable with the assist of quarter-turn latches.

If you walk outside the vestibule, you will see the industrial evaporative condenser. The evaporative condenser is the heart of the evaporative condensed chiller. It is the means by which this system is so efficient. Featuring a galvanized refrigerant coil, 304 stainless steel water basin, and two-speed or VFD ready fan motor, the condenser is perfectly designed for long life and durable service.
